For much of my life, I had been focused on education and work… then I became a mom and my life changed! Now my focus is on raising smart, fun-loving kids. I have made many changes to my life over the past few years to make being a single mom easier. I went from working at a large company to managing my own business, so I can work from home part-time. Now my job is even focused on kids – Gymboree Play & Music. It’s a fun place for parents and kids to play and take classes like music and art.
Jaden is full of life, energy and fun! He loves to play with his cars and trains and he loves books, singing, and playing with his friends at school and church. And, of course, he loves playing and taking music and art classes at Gymboree. Jaden is from a previous marriage. Now that I have experienced the joy of motherhood, I can’t wait to do it again through adoption. And Jaden is excited about becoming a big brother. He can’t wait to get to know his younger brother or sister and have a playmate for life!
Family, Friends, And Fun!
I love living in the city. I moved to Chicago from Cincinnati over 10 years ago. City life has been a ton of fun for me and Jaden. We have a ball going to all of the summer festivals, playgrounds, zoos, museums and the beach.
I also have a great group of friends to enjoy restaurants, movies and concerts with. My friends have also been a part of my world travels. I love to travel. I’ve been to countries like Thailand, Italy, Brazil, Germany and Jamaica. I love seeing new and different places, trying new foods and seeing new sites.
Jaden and I are members at a great church that has lots of fun children’s activities. The other moms and my friends are a great support system. Even my family in Ohio are just a phone call or short ride away from helping out with advice and support. It’s not easy being a single mom, but with a flexible job, supportive friends, family and church, it has been a joy!
I look forward to being part of an open adoption. I know that it is important for a child to know their background and have connections with their entire family. I look forward to meetings, as well as pictures and letters with updates that will help us all stay connected.
