The Cradle Holiday Party

Cradle families and birthparents filled the building at our annual Holiday Party on December 3rd.  Children enjoyed a variety of activities including cookie decorating, dreidel spinning, making a holiday chain, and coloring pictures of holiday customs from other countries.  There was also a Kwanzaa exhibit and, of course, a visit from Santa.  "Storybook Mom" Nili Yelin was the party’s special guest.  Nili also delights audiences at the Wilmette Public Library, Chicago Botanic Garden, Museum of Science and Industry, and other venues.  We are grateful to all the volunteers, staff members, and families who participated in the festivities.  A special thank you to the Winnetka Cradle Auxiliary, whose members decorated our building the weekend before the party.leah & santa

Due to the popularity of this event, and the limited space in our historic facility, we are only able to invite local families who have adopted in the last few years. We have heard from many of you with older children that attending The Cradle holiday party is a tradition for your family.  Since our building cannot accommodate everyone who might like to attend the party, we invite you to arrange a time to bring your children in for a tour, a visit to the Nursery, and a visit with your counselor during The Cradle’s business hours, Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m..  We would love to see you and your family, but please call us first, at 847-475-5800, to make sure someone is available to take you around.

All of us at The Cradle wish you and your family a very happy, healthy New Year.
