Adoption tends to be a popular topic on reality shows and made for TV movies.Plot lines abound involving unplanned pregnancies,someone growing up who may not know her biological mom, or parents raising a child that wasn't born to them. Usually, these shows leave the viewer with more questions than answers.

That's why The Cradle created Volunteers for Adoption Education to answer those questions with facts not fiction. Our group of speakers are all personally connected to adoption --- birth parents, adoptive parents and adults who were adopted as children. They speak about adoption from personal experience providing accurate, up-to-date information on such topics as: Open Adoption, International Adoption, the Mutual Consent Registry, and the legal rights of birth parents in Illinois.

These adoption presentations are a great addition to a high school Health, Child Development, Life Skills or Marriage and Family class, to name a few. We will customize the length of the presentation to fit your schedule.
