Waiting Families Support Group

Our next meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, May 23, 2012 from 7-9pm at the Evanston office. This month's topic will be Preparing for Baby. Topics of discussion will include developmental resources, the latest information on SIDS, unsafe children's products and toys, infant education, sleep and anything else that you would like to talk about. Suggestions are always welcome so if you have something specific that you would like to learn about please let me know. If you have any specific questions or comments please send them to me by March 21st so that we can make sure that they are addressed. We will still have plenty of time for an open session discussion focusing on how to develop and maintain positive waiting strategies, which is always a part of the group. Previous Meeting Recap

In March we had the new Match Specialist, Heide Winckler, who talked about her new role and networking, and she had the opportunity to meet many expectant families. We had a nice turn-out and Heide did a great job of explaining the match process as well as many other aspects of her job. It was nice to see everyone who was able to attend the group.
