Hi! We are Dan and Annette and we are so happy that you have chosen to read our letter.
If you would have told us when we met that we would be married now, we would have laughed pretty hard at that notion. We officially met 15 years ago, standing up together at each of OUR best friends wedding. Even though Dan was funny (at least he thought so!) and charming it just wasn't our time to be. 5 years later, we went on a date, but again ... it still wasn't our time. Throughout the years our best friends continued to tell each of us how they thought we were perfect for each other. Our sense of humor, our backgrounds, our interests were all the same ... but we still hadn't been able to connect.
Finally in July 2003, they invited each of us over for a big BBQ. Funny thing, we were the only guests! Three times must be the charm, because Annette came home that night declaring, "This is the one."Even though it took Dan nine DAYS to call Annette (typical guy) ... the rest was history. We married on New Year's Eve 2004 at St. Giles Catholic Church. The weather was a warm 60 degrees and the reception was fun and unforgettable.
