Thank you so much for taking the time to learn more about us. We really look forward to learning more about you, your personality, and your interests. We are Max and Craig, fathers of Mosi, and we are excited to continue growing our family. Mosi is also very excited to have a sibling! We have been together for almost 10 years. We met while living in New York City through a mutual friend. Early on in our relationship, we shared that we wanted to become parents and to have a large family. We both taught in the New York City public schools. We found teaching (Craig taught 1st grade and Max taught 4th grade) to be fulfilling, but still we always wanted to raise our own children. In 2006, Mosi came home with us. Raising our son has made us feel even more like a family and we know that this feeling will only grow with the arrival of our 2nd child! Now, Craig is a full time stay-at-home dad and Max We think a child feels most “complete” when nurtured with honesty and love. We hope to have a relationship with our second child’s birthparents, sharing his or her growth and important milestones. We would like to work with you to find the right type of contact to maintain for our child. Our Children’s Culture and Heritage Max was brought up in a racially diverse neighborhood and both of us taught in Harlem, New York. We believe that we have a responsibility to help our children understand their heritage and help them identify closely with the African-American community, in all of its richness and diversity. We work to expose Mosi to friends, family, neighbors, books, cultural and historical figures. We surround him with music, books, art, friends and family that reflect his amazing personal heritage. We plan to do the same for Mosi’s sibling. We look forward to being able to share some of your family traditions and cultural celebrations with us so that we can bridge our family’s lives. We now enjoy our house with a front- and backyards on a family-oriented block in the city. Our home has plenty of room to grow and we have a basement where Mosi enjoys keeping his toys. We barbeque outside in the summer and play in the snow in the winter. The streets are tree-lined and the neighborhood is filled with kids. We can walk to the beach in less than 10 minutes and we’re a 10 minute drive from most of the major museums in Chicago. Our neighborhood is the most ethnically diverse of Chicago—people from all over the world fill the sidewalks every day. In Peace, .jpg)

Our Home and Neighborhood
When we moved to Chicago 2 years ago to be closer to family, we came looking for a quiet, diverse, safe neighborhood with great schools and plenty of parks.
