"Family is not an important thing.  It's EVERYTHING!"  - Michael J. Fox

It is our dream to continue to build on a house full of love, laughter, and yummy smells coming from the kitchen.  We have always known that we wanted children in our lives, both biological and through adoption.   We met in college and have been married for 10 wonderful years now.   We were blessed to have our son Colton (aka Cole) eight years ago and adopt our daughter Abigail (aka Abby) in 2015.  Their laughter and smiles melt our hearts on a daily basis!  We have much more love in our hearts and energy to share with our children.  Cole and Abby are ready to have another sibling to snuggle and play with.  We are really excited to expand our family and embrace even more fun times all together!

We met in college at Bradley University and became friends before dating for 5 years.  We both felt lucky to marry our best friend in 2006.  We have since been on many fun adventures together ranging from watching the sunrise from a hot air balloon, driving on the "wrong" side of the road through Ireland, spending weekends camping with friends, with many more memories in between.  Now we enjoy our days at the zoo, parks, and taking Cole and Abby on vacations exploring new places.  Family bike rides, movie nights on the couch, cheering on Cole during his games, and chasing bubbles with Abigail in the yard are some of the ways we spend time as a family (and we wouldn't want it any other way).  We spend a lot of time with both our extended families as well, who are all thrilled to welcome another child into the family.

About Kevin through Jennifer's eyes

Kevin is truly a kid living inside a 35 year olds body!  He is the first to run around and start a squirt gun fight with Cole and all the neighborhood kids or turn up the music to dance with Abigail around the house.  On the other hand, Kevin is a very hard worker and is always ready to learn, which also makes him handy around the house!  He has successfully established himself as an IT Security Manager and enjoys the challenges at work.

Kevin is such a wonderful dad and is very devoted to his family.  He loves coaching the kids sports teams, shooting hoops with them in the driveway, and teaching them hobbies like skiing and painting.  I can not wait to watch him fall head over heels in love with our next child as well.

About Jennifer through Kevin's eyes

Jennifer can be put into a room full of total strangers and walk out with many friends that she will continue to stay in touch with.  She has always been very kind to people, thoughtful, and is very fun to be around.  She is also very family oriented, probably because she comes from a very large, supportive, and tight-knit family.

Being a former middle-school special education teacher turned stay-at-home mom, she is a pro when it comes to handling multiple children, in the good and bad times. Many days Jennifer is on the go planning play dates for Cole or Abby, driving to various practices/classes, enjoying many local children's attractions, and/or visiting various members of her family.   Cole and Abby know how lucky they are to have a mother like Jennifer and I know how lucky I am to have her as my wife.

Whether Cole is playing sports or building a fort with Abigail, he always has a smile on his face. He is a very energetic, caring, and thoughtful 8 year old little man who will do anything for an ice cream sundae!! Cole enjoys hanging out with friends, taking guitar lessons, cheering on the Cubs, teaching Abigail to build with legos, challenging Kevin to video games, and playing different sports throughout the year.

Cole is such a wonderful big brother! He can't wait to add another sibiling to our fun loving crew.

Abigail will light up any room with her smile, singing, and cute little dance moves! From the second we were blessed to adopt Abigail, we have loved snuggling, playing, and laughing with her. She has grown into a very playful 2 year old who loves Elmo, coloring, parks, and puppies! Above all, Abby loves playing with her big brother.  You can find them building towers, reading books, and running around the backyard together.  She adores her big brother and cousins so much, we know she will be a wonderful big sister!

Rizzy is our 1 year old mix breed energetic puppy. She loves snuggling with Cole on the couch and making Abby giggle with all of her puppy kisses! Rizzy loves going for walks, playing with her neighborhood dog friends, and chewing on sticks in the front yard. We have taught her how to play hide and seek with us around the house, which has become a favorite game of both Rizzy and the kiddos. She is a very loving and playful puppy who is wonderful with kids.

Our Home

We live in a neighborhood full of children in a northwest suburb of Chicago and have a park just three houses down the street. Our community has wonderful award winning schools and many fun activities that are within walking or biking distance from our house. We have many families in the neighborhood that have become our close friends and tons of kids are always outside playing together.  Swimming pools, library, community festivals, restaurants, multiple parks, a farmers market, a train station and classes through the park district are a few of the things we can walk to from our house. We can't wait for our expanded family to continue being a part of all of these.

Thank you for taking the time to look at our profile.  We understand this is a difficult time for you and wish you peace as you make the best decision for you and your child.  Should you make the plan for adoption, we would love to meet you and would welcome an open relationship that would be comfortable for everyone.

We hope you can see we are a fun loving, happy, and lively family.  We would provide a nurturing home for your child where he or she will be surrounded by love everyday.  We are thrilled to be able to become new parents again and have another little one to watch learn, grow, and dream.
