Seeking a Forever Family for Baby Boy D

UPDATE: Thank you to everyone for their well wishes for Baby D! We have had a wonderful response, so at this time we are not accepting any more pre-applications and are busy reviewing them. If you sent in a pre-application you will hear back from us. Thank you for your help in our efforts to find him a forever family.

Baby boy D is an adorable 3 month old. He sometimes enjoys quiet cuddle times and is beginning to coo. He takes full bottle feedings and likes to be rocked.

Boy D has increased muscle tone and sometimes has tremors in his limbs. He has also recently been diagnosed with microcephaly. He was exposed to marijuana and alcohol during the pregnancy. Boy D is at risk for neurodevelopmental issues. He is currently receiving physical therapy services.

Boy D will do best in a family who will provide a calm environment and has time for individual attention to support his disposition. His developmental progress will need to be closely monitored and his future needs would include early intervention and neurology services to maximize his potential.

We have a careful screening process for selecting the most appropriate homes for our babies with special needs. You DO NOT need to reside in Illinois or have a Cradle homestudy to be considered; however, preference will be given to families with an approved homestudy.
