Include the Birth Father to Expand Openness

For adoptive and birth parents alike, the more people who are around to love and watch a child grow, the better. That’s why open adoptions can be so beneficial.

While having the birth mother in his or her life is wonderful, having both birth parents in their life can be doubly as helpful.

The Cradle encourages birth fathers to take an active role in making adoption plans for their children. Our counselors work with many birth fathers each year who are glad they chose to be involved for all of the benefits it can bring their child later down the road.
