My Story
Hi, I am Alyssa! Thank you for taking the time to meet me. I’m a police officer. I am excited to start my journey of becoming a mother! I have always wanted to adopt a child. I feel adoption is a way for me to give my care and unconditional love to a child. I have experienced firsthand how an adopted child can feel part of a family, as my brother was adopted. If chosen, I promise to give my adopted child love, support, care, guidance and protection forever. As you read my profile, I hope you see who I am and what I believe, and that this somehow resonates with you. There is no doubt the love I have today for my adopted child will only grow stronger the day I meet them.
Why Open Adoption?
Open adoption is very important to me. I promise to be flexible with our communication, whether that includes in-person visits or photo updates.
Regardless, I look forward to making a plan with you. I am respectful and understanding of the emotions that this decision will have for you. I will be patient and caring, and if you need more time, I will send updates to The Cradle until you are ready.

It has been many years of wanting to start a family of my own. I am a single, gay, bi-racial female. My journey of wanting to adopt came from my own brother being adopted and the love he has brought to our family. After life’s ups and downs, I am ready to begin this journey with you.
