GETTING STARTED

Attend an Adoption Info Meeting Near Chicago

If you are a prospective adoptive family, the first step in the adoption process is to attend one of the information meetings listed below.

If you are new to adoption and still wondering about which program may be right for you, the free Information Meeting is a great place to start. At that meeting we will introduce you to the international and domestic process including our Sayers Center for African American Adoption. We'll talk about the children available for adoption in the US and throughout the world and introduce you to open adoption. At the end of the presentation, we'll take time to answer questions you may have.

We are accepting applications for our Agency Assisted Program for Domestic Adoption as well as our programs for International Adoption, African American Adoption and Special Needs Adoption. At this time, The Cradle’s General Domestic Program is full.

Sayers Center meetings are designed and intended for African American families who are specifically interested in adopting an African American child. At these meetings we will go into more depth on the myths and facts about adoption within the African American community.
