7-8:15 p.m. Central on Tuesdays from April 8-29 (four weeks)
This virtual psychoeducational support group series is for adult adoptees (21+) who have searched for and connected with birth parents or other birth relatives. In this series, we will:
- Explore motivations for searching, expectations of a connection and hoped for outcomes
- Discuss the outcome of your search and integrating new information and people into your life
- Consider the connections you’ve made and what they mean or meant to you
- Examine how you processed the connection and managed the emotions involved
The Cradle offers virtual psychoeducational support groups, moderated by Nina Friedman, LCSW, Director of Post Adoption Support. Having the opportunity to connect with others, and to share with and hear from those who understand your experience, is important. These groups will allow you to talk about the challenges and joys you may have experienced, while receiving support from a clinically trained therapist.
